BTC is proudly Evangelical in its theological orientation where the Bible is the cornerstone of all Its goal then was to prepare pastors for Baptist churches.

In 1951 the Baptist Union of Southern Africa established The Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa. Over the years the college has established itself as one of the premier ministry training institutions in the country. The focus has broadened significantly to include the training of pastors, youth pastors and missionaries. The narrow denominational focus has changed, and the college now welcomes students from all denominational and church backgrounds who are willing to accept our statement of faith.

Every once in a while, we have the privilege of hearing a devotional from our second- and third-year Greek and Hebrew students. 📖 Last week, we learnt the word ἀναλογίσασθε (analogisasthe), meaning “consider carefully,” through a devotional shared by our second-year student, Mia Jamneck.

As you read through, take a moment to ἀναλογίσασθε - consider carefully what Jesus endured and accomplished for you on the cross. ✝️

Earlier this semester, we had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful young ladies and gentlemen from GK Linden Jeug 🎓✨

During their visit, they enjoyed a tour of our library and joined us for a meaningful chapel service. It was such a joy to have them on campus and share a glimpse of our community with them.

We’re grateful for the time we shared and hope to welcome them back again soon! 🤍

A brief summary of Gavin Wood’s Wednesday Chapel message:
Mission begins with God, we are not building our own kingdom, carrying out our own agenda, or simply copying what others are doing, we receive our mission from Him.
