The Queen has entered the building! aka Allie Daniel is in Basel straight from London’s West End! Allie is filling our heads with technique and wisdom! It’s been a whirlwind of a time and we hope all of the participants have gleaned what they hoped to from the workshops. So delighted she was able to visit Basel and bring world-class teaching and talent in one weekend.

So, I wasn’t sure about posting this because I thought it was a negative, but it’s actually a positive. I’ve been out of “the business” in earnest for a long time as I’ve been raising my children. I decided recently that I wanted to prioritize my own career again and have taken steps in that direction. As a result, I received a casting submission request from a casting director based in Bulgaria. I’d done a film there many years ago. I submitted my first professional self-tape. Still learning how this all works. I got a callback. Then a final callback. I didn’t book it. But, you know what? I’ll take it. Everything we do is data. For my first try in this new landscape, I’ll take that data.

Throwing back this Thursday to when I got to meet Madam Damrau backstage at Der Rosenkavalier. A thrill. Thank you .damrau for the warm greeting! You were, of course, magnificent.

Very excited to share more studio news! Three more students from the studio were cast in Page to Stage’s junior production of Percy Jackson’s The Lightning Thief! Julian McDonald will play Grover, Amy Jones will play Annabeth, and Sienna McDonald will play Medusa. So proud of all of them and their hard work to prepare for the auditions!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share the stage with such esteemed colleagues on November 21, 2026 at the Stadtcasino Basel. Will be joining the Basel Proms for the first time this year and am just chuffed about it. Can't wait to sing with Beverley Worboys and Angela Brower again.

We’ve got another studio update! Emma, who joined the studio last year, was cast again in this year’s Panto, Beauty and the Beast. She’ll be playing the role of Ginette, in addition to a Fan Girl. Way to go, Emma!
