How does an academic program pave the way to a fulfilling career in Artificial Intelligence and global tech?

We are excited to feature GUO Ziyuan, now working as an AI Product Manager at Netpreme, as she reflects on how the HKUST MSc in Marketing program provided the foundational tools and training to jump-start her career:
• A Forward-Thinking Foundation: The program integrated AI from the start, equipping her with a strong core in data analytics, market strategy, and AI marketing.
• Data to Decisions: The ability to turn data into business-driving decisions directly enabled her to drive user growth for Watsons' million-member loyalty program successfully.
• From Marketing to Building AI: Taking these skills to Silicon Valley, she has driven go-to-market strategy for consumer brands entering the US market, built agentic AI during a Cisco apprenticeship, and now brings AI infrastructure to market—building the future alongside fellow alumni.

🚀 The mentorship journey begins! - MSc Mentorship Program 2026/27

The MSc Mentorship Program 2026/27 officially launched on 13 September (Sunday) with an exciting Kick-Off Ceremony!

Mentors and mentees came together for the very first time, building new connections, sparking conversations, and sharing plenty of laughter throughout the day. From ice-breaking moments to adventures in the Ocean Park, the event marked the beginning of what promises to be a rewarding mentorship journey.

As the Program enters its third cohort with more than 270 mentors and mentees, our growing community continues to bring together experienced alumni and aspiring MSc students, creating valuable opportunities to exchange insights, broaden perspectives, and foster mutual growth. 🌟

We were honoured to have Mr. Chris Tsang, Assistant Dean (Administration) & MSc Program Director, join us and share his words of encouragement. We are also grateful to Ms. Salad Kwok, Head of MSc Programs, for her presence and unwavering support of the Program.

A heartfelt thank you to all our mentors and mentees for making the day so vibrant, energetic, and memorable. We look forward to seeing new friendships flourish, meaningful mentorship relationships develop, and our community continue to grow in the months ahead. ✨
