Deciding what comes after post-primary school can be an exciting but also uncertain and stressful time for the student and parents/Guardians.
With so many choices available, young people can feel pressure to make the “right” decision, while parents and guardians may wonder how best to support them without adding to that pressure.
This practical and supportive webinar will explore the different pathways available, including Higher Education, Further Education and Training (FET), apprenticeships and other options.
We will look at how parents can help their child explore their interests, strengths and aspirations, have supportive conversations about the future, and navigate choices and possible setbacks along the way.
Above all, the webinar will reassure parents that they don’t need to have all the answers. Their role is not to choose the path, but to provide the encouragement, reassurance and support that helps their child find a path that feels right for them.
