We were pleased to welcome our project partners from the Center for Solar Energy Research and Applications (ODTÜ-GÜNAM) at the Institute for Sustainable Energy at the University of Malta for a visit to our laboratory as part of the ongoing Xjenza Malta-TÜBİTAK funded project - SLICE (SiLicon for Improved Cell Efficiency).

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our research facilities, exchange knowledge and expertise, and discuss ongoing research activities and future opportunities for collaboration.

We look forward to continuing our joint efforts towards advancing research and innovation in sustainable energy! ☀️

Dr. Marija Demicoli, Senior Lecturer at ISE, is currently at the 43rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EUPVSEC) 2026 in Rotterdam, Netherlands presenting the results of the project SLICE (SiLicon for Improved Cell Efficiency). SLICE is a Xjenza Malta -TÜBİTAK funded project which ISE's Solar Lab is performing in collaboration with the Center for Solar Energy Research and Applications (ODTÜ-GÜNAM) and KalyonPV Research and Development Center in Türkiye.

The poster summarizing our work won the best poster award within the category: Silicon Material Science and Technology | Manufacturing of Silicon Cells.
