🌍 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐁𝐒𝐍 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 2026!

From October 26–28, The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) hosted GBSN Beyond 2026, bringing together academic leaders, business professionals, and innovators from around the world.

Under the theme “𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬,” the conference explored how business education can drive innovation, collaboration, and meaningful impact.

We are proud that Bucharest Business School (BBS @ ASE) contributed to the organization of this international event, strengthening connections between academia and the global business community.

A special highlight was the panel moderated by Vasile Alecsandru Strat, Dean of BBS, alongside Martin Danovsky (Sofia Tech Park), Angela Lee (Columbia Business School), and entrepreneur and investor Iulian Stanciu. Together, they explored the role of entrepreneurship education, infrastructure, and investment in building thriving innovation ecosystems.

Thirty years of an institution, read through Homer.

Anca Bud, Coordinator for Deposit Guarantee at the FGDB (Fondul de Garantare a Depozitelor Bancare/ Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund) and a student in our ROCA Executive MBA @ BBS-ASE (Romanian-Canadian), has written "After 30 Years. The Return to Ithaca."

An institution that keeps taking on new mandates faces the same question Odysseus does: how do you come back changed without coming back someone else? Her answer, the point of the whole journey is that the Romanian depositor never has to leave Ithaca.
