Alfred State Alumni

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Alfred State College's Day of Giving is just one week away!
As we count down to Thursday, November 5, we want to thank the generous donors who have already committed their support. Their early gifts are helping build momentum toward our goal of $350,000 and 1,000 participants.

No matter the size, every gift makes a difference. Whether it's $5, $1,000, or more, your support creates opportunities for Alfred State students and strengthens the future of the college. Be sure to follow along on Day of Giving for exciting matching gift opportunities, special challenges, and announcements throughout the day.

Our Day of Giving also includes activities across campus to raise awareness and celebrate the generosity of our Pioneer community. The Alfred State Community Needs Hub will be accepting donations for its food pantry and thrift store, providing another meaningful way to support our students.

If you'd like to join the excitement today, you can make your gift now by visiting our Day of Giving Gift page at https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/26DOG. All gifts received between now and November 11 count toward this year's Day of Giving totals.

Thank you to everyone who has already responded to our recent mailing. We are processing those gifts and will be adding those totals to our Day of Giving page in the coming days.
Thank you for being part of the Alfred State family and for helping us make a difference in the lives of our students.

This week, we're flipping through the archives for a look at student life at Alfred State. Take a peek at these photos and tell us:

👀 What brings back a memory?
😂 What makes you laugh looking back?
💙 And what is one thing about your Alfred State days that you'll never forget?

Maybe it was your favorite hangout spot, a roommate who kept you laughing, a campus tradition, or something that only people from your era would understand!

Let's hear it in the comments! And tag a classmate who will remember these days right along with you. 👇

Throwback Thursday: Remember 1992?

We're flipping through the 1992 Statonian this week. But before you dive into the photos, let's see what else takes you right back to 1992!

🎶 Music: “End of the Road,” “Jump,” “Baby Got Back,” “Black or White,” “I’ll Be There,” “Under the Bridge”…

🎬 Movies: Aladdin, Home Alone 2, Wayne’s World, A League of Their Own, Batman Returns, Sister Act…

📺 TV: Roseanne, Home Improvement, Full House, Cheers, Murphy Brown, Murder, She Wrote…

👟 And then there were the clothes, hairstyles, technology, campus life and all the little things that made 1992… well, 1992!

Now take a look through these pages from the Statonian and let the memories start flowing!

What do you remember most about 1992?
What song takes you right back? What movie did you see? What TV show did you never miss? And, of course…

👀 Do you recognize anyone in these photos?

Tag them, share a memory, and tell us what instantly takes you back to 1992! 💙

🕵️📸 Throwback Thursday: Photo Detective Edition!

We’ve pulled a few photos from the Statonian and we’re putting your detective skills to the test!

🔎 Can you figure out what year these photos are from?
🔎 Do you recognize any familiar faces?
🔎 Can you spot the clues that might give away the year?

Take a close look… there are some pretty good clues hiding in these photos! 👀

Maybe you remember these days firsthand. Maybe you recognize a classmate, a campus tradition, a hairstyle, a fashion choice, or something else that gives the year away.

What’s your guess? Drop it in the comments and tell us what clue gave it away! 👇

And if you have photos from your own Alfred State days, we’d love to see them, too. 📸💙

Welcome to Homecoming Weekend 2026!

Our Tailgate Party is officially underway, and what a beautiful day it is to be a Pioneer!

Today's festivities have something for everyone, with alumni competing in volleyball, baseball, lacrosse, and even pickleball. The aroma of brunch is filling the air, and at 11:00 a.m., local favorites The Dirt Turtles will take the stage to provide the soundtrack for an incredible afternoon.

The excitement continues at 1:00 p.m. when the Alfred State Pioneers host the Utica Pioneers on the football field. Both teams enter today's matchup undefeated at 3-0, setting the stage for a thrilling contest.

Whether you're reconnecting with friends, enjoying the food and music, or cheering on the Pioneers, we're glad you're here to celebrate our Alfred State family.

Enjoy the day, enjoy the memories, and as always... Go Pioneers!
