🩺Render Aid, Save Lives 💉

The Blazer Battalion conducted Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training, focusing on the 9-Line MEDEVAC, Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care, and Tactical Evacuation Care.

Through hands-on training, cadets strengthened their tactical medical knowledge, communication, and readiness to respond when it matters most. Cadets practiced critical skills designed to prepare future leaders to respond when lives are on the line.

She’s officially the No. 1 Cadet Nurse in the South!

UAB alumna Mia Martin has earned the 2026 Association of the United States Army COL Danielle Rodondi Cadet Nurse Excellence Award, distinguishing herself among 350 nursing cadets across Army ROTC programs in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and Puerto Rico.

During her four years at UAB, Mia balanced the demands of the UAB School of Nursing with Army ROTC, building the skills she’ll soon put to work serving others.

This month, she’ll commission as a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps before heading to Fort Sam Houston, Texas, for her next chapter.

FIVE EVENTS. ONE GOAL: EARN A GO. ✅💪

The Blazer Battalion put their strength, endurance, and overall physical performance to the test during the Army Fitness Test (AFT).

Our cadets pushed themselves to the limit across five events: deadlifts, plank, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, and finishing strong with a 2-mile run. Each event challenged our Blazers to push themselves to meet and exceed the standard.

Great job to all our Cadets for putting in the work and giving it their all!

Remembering 9/11 🇺🇸

On September 11, 2026, our cadets came together to honor the lives lost and the courage shown during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001.

The Blazer Battalion conducted a 9/11 Stair Climb in remembrance of the sacrifices made by the first responders who ran toward danger on September 11, 2001. The climb is intended to pay tribute to first responders who climbed the equivalent of 110 stories to save the lives of others.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

What a better way to start off the semester than with a Mega Lab?

The Blazer Battalion kicked off Zero Day with insider and guest briefs, team competitions, and opportunities to interact with and welcome new cadets in preparation for the Fall 2026 semester. LTC Toole also challenged our cadets to be positive, do their best, and be a good teammate.
