What a wonderful way to kick off the football season! Charleston School of Law hosted a tailgate for the first Wofford football game against The Citadel this past Saturday. Alumni, friends, Wofford College, and The Citadel came together in the Upstate for a fantastic day filled with great fellowship, school spirit, and, of course, shrimp and grits - bringing a little taste of Charleston to our friends upstate!
A special thank you to Wofford’s Devin Foster and Patrick Wheeler for all their help behind the scenes, from securing the best seats to saving us the perfect tailgate spot. We are so grateful for your hospitality!
We also enjoyed connecting with Dr. J. David Alvis, Professor and Samuel Pate Gardner 1918 Chair of Government and International Affairs, and the wonderful students of Wofford’s Pre-Law Society, including President Sasha Younginer, Vice President Joslyn Taylor, and Cameron Adams. Charleston School of Law Alumni Association President Andrew McCumber ’13 and Dr. David Alvis. Thank you for introducing us to your next generation of aspiring law students - we hope to see many of them on our campus next year!
We truly appreciate everyone who helped make the event special, including all the thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. For those who couldn’t join us this year, we hope to see you at our next tailgate!
Thank you, Wofford, for welcoming Charleston School of Law family with such warmth and Southern hospitality. We’ll see you next year! 🐾🏈⚖️
