We love seeing the accomplishments of our alum! Congratulations Kate! 🎉

The Clarksville Police Department is proud to congratulate Wellness Counselor Kate Kastle on an outstanding professional achievement.

Kate has earned full independent approval status from the State of Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). This designation represents years of education, clinical training, supervised experience, and rigorous testing, marking a significant milestone in her counseling career.

To reach this level, Kate completed more than two years of supervised clinical work, including 1,500 hours of direct client counseling, an additional 1,500 hours of clinical-related training and experience, and 150 hours of supervision meetings. She also successfully passed the NCE, NCMHCE, and Tennessee jurisprudence exams.

In addition, Kate holds the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential, further reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and nationally recognized counseling standards.
Her accomplishment strengthens the support and care she provides daily to our officers, staff, and their families each day. Kate’s dedication to mental health and wellness continues to have a meaningful and lasting impact across the department.

Congratulations, Kate, on this well-earned achievement, and thank you for all you do for CPD and our community.

We may have said we were heading into break, but we are definitely still staying busy!

As part of the Middle Tennessee Counseling Association leadership team, Dr. Wills just coordinated a wonderful MTCA awards ceremony and gathering, bringing counselors and counselor educators together in celebration and community.

Dr. Gibson had the opportunity to lead a professional development presentation, and Dr. Rollins was recognized with an award for Counselor Advocate — a well-deserved honor!

Even during “break,” we remain committed to supporting the counseling profession, professional growth, and advocacy work across Tennessee. We’re still busy — and grateful for every opportunity to serve, connect, and celebrate with colleagues! Tennessee Counseling Association
