Meet our Making Me Marketable keynote speaker: Aaron Hale.

A combat veteran, entrepreneur, endurance athlete and motivational speaker.

After losing his sight in an IED explosion and later becoming completely deaf after contracting bacterial meningitis, Aaron refused to let adversity define his future. Today, he continues to inspire others through his work as an entrepreneur, ultra-marathon runner, motivational speaker and business owner.

At Making Me Marketable, Aaron will share his journey from tragedy to triumph and the lessons he has learned about grit, perseverance and overcoming obstacles.

The event will also feature workshops and industry panels, giving students the opportunity to learn from professionals, build career-ready skills and connect with industry leaders.

The University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business Employer and External Relations team was proud to host the first in a new series of corporate networking events at the Build-A-Bear Workshop World Bearquarters.

Thank you to Build-A-Bear Workshop, CEO Chris Hurt, and the entire team for their outstanding hospitality. Attendees also participated in the signature heart ceremony, creating bears wearing custom Trulaske T-shirts that will be donated to patients at a local children’s hospital.

We appreciate everyone who joined us and look forward to building even stronger connections with our corporate partners and alumni.
