Columbia College has been awarded a $2.7 million federal grant to prepare teachers to support English learners across South Carolina.

It’s Transfer Student Week, and we’re celebrating a Koala who shows just how far a transfer path can take you. When Alivia Cunningham ‘25 transferred to Columbia College in 2023, she wanted small classes and professors who knew her name. She found both, plus mentors who helped shape her future.

Today, she’s a graduate instructor at Clemson University, pursuing her master’s in English literature, and she says Columbia College prepared her for it.

To all our transfer Koalas: we’re so glad you’re here. Read Alivia’s full story ➡️ https://bit.ly/3U5WyJn

What happens when an entire campus becomes a stage? 🎭

Last Thursday, the Columbia College Dance Company and the School of Arts & Sciences led a walking tour across campus filled with dance, music, visual art, poetry, and storytelling. Every stop was a reminder of how much creativity lives here.

Huge thanks to the Columbia College Dance Company and the School of Arts & Sciences for keeping this tradition going strong. Swipe through to relive the night 💜

An exciting investment in Columbia College’s future! 🎉

Columbia College has been awarded $1.24 million in first-year funding through the U.S. Department of Education’s Title III Strengthening Institutions Program.

The five-year initiative will upgrade 29 classrooms, establish a Center for Teaching and Learning, expand advising and academic support, and help faculty and staff use AI effectively and responsibly.
