University of Missouri Army ROTC (MIZZOU)

This is the official page of the University of Missouri of Army ROTC. The cadet corps has grown from 35 to 125 in seven years.

The Army ROTC program at the University of Missouri is one of
the strongest programs in the nation, with most recent graduates leading soldiers in combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan. MU Army ROTC also commissions Lieutenants from other mid‐Missouri campuses, to include Columbia College, Stephens College, and Central Methodist University. MU Army ROTC has grown from producing single digits in the

early 2000s, to over 20 commissionees in 2011, tripling its size. Consistently, MU cadets perform at or above the national averages at Advanced Camp (Cadet Summer Training), the 29 day summer camp held for juniors at Fort Knox, KY.

Donuts with the Dean 🍩

Mizzou Arts & Science Dean Cooper Drury made his annual visit to the Tiger Battalion yesterday morning at PT! Cadets had the opportunity to share a few donuts and conversations with Dean Drury before starting their day. We always appreciate his continued support of Mizzou Army ROTC and our cadets! Thank you, Dean Drury!

Meet the Tiger Battalion’s newest cadets!

During New Cadet Orientation, cadets were introduced to drill and ceremony, PRT (Physical Readiness Training), the AFT (Army Fitness Test), and participated in a variety of team-building events designed to build camaraderie and familiarize them with the Army. Cadets also explored campus and downtown Columbia while getting to know one another.

We can't wait to see what they will accomplish!

Mizzou Cadets Cox and Walls Graduate from Air Assault School

University of Missouri ROTC cadets Cox and Walls recently achieved a significant milestone by graduating from the U.S. Army Air Assault School. Their successful completion of one of the Army’s most physically and mentally demanding courses reflects their commitment to excellence, leadership, and professional development.

Air Assault School is a rigorous 10-day course designed to train Soldiers and cadets in helicopter-based combat operations. The course consists of three primary phases: Air Assault Operations, Sling Load Operations, and Rappelling, culminating in a challenging 12-mile road march. Graduates earn the coveted Air Assault Badge after demonstrating proficiency in each phase and meeting strict physical and academic standards.
Throughout the course, Cadets Cox and Walls developed critical skills in aircraft safety, helicopter operations, load rigging and inspection, and rappelling techniques. Their graduation from Air Assault School highlights both their perseverance and their readiness to lead in demanding environments.

The University of Missouri ROTC program congratulates Cadets Cox and Walls on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to their continued success as future Army leaders.
