Tonight we celebrate true pioneers of the insurance industry as we induct 7 new members to the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame.

• Regina Favors - retired president and chief executive officer, Pinnacle Business Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield.
• Lynn Harbert, CIOP - retired senior vice president and chief operating officer, Delta Dental of Arkansas.
• T. Ark Monroe III, J.D. - of Little Rock, retired partner, Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, PLLC, and former Arkansas Insurance Commissioner, 1972-1976.
• Richard L. Patterson, CLU, ChFC, ARPC, AEP - financial advisor, Patterson Financial Group.
• Victor A. Puleo Jr., Ph.D., CIC, CCI (1964-2025) - educator, UCA College of Business, 2003-2017.
• J.B. Smith - retired agency owner, Smith and Company Insurance Inc.

Fun fact: T. Ark. Monroe, III was appointed AR Insurance Commissioner, but he had to WAIT because he WASN'T OLD ENOUGH! Arkansas law required Monroe to turn 30 years old, despite the incredible impact the young man had already made to deserve such a post. But that's not the only reason he's being inducted into the AIHF tonight!

Monroe earned the trust of governors, legislators, regulators, clients, and colleagues who relied on his steady counsel, thoughtful leadership, and thorough understanding of the complex issues shaping the insurance marketplace. His work helped protect Arkansas insurance consumers while also supporting the strength, stability, and growth of the state’s insurance industry. Tonight, 92-year-old J.B. Smith will take the stage to be recognized for his significant contributions not only to the insurance industry but also to our nation, as he is inducted into the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame. Smith doesn't focus on his accomplishments, however. He says he found true joy in helping people and businesses with their insurance needs. JB believes he has been blessed in every aspect of his life, and the people of the insurance industry are a big reason why. Have you ever struggled to decide what to do when you grow up? Dennis Young did. He thought he belonged in finance but finally gave insurance a try. He then went on to have a 40-year career in the industry as an Independent Insurance Agent, and he's being inducted into the AIHF tonight! While he made incredible impacts on Arkansas's insurance business that continue to benefit the newest generation of leaders, Young also served his community, state, and church continually in numerous roles over many years. Another powerful lady, Lynn Harbert, will join other industry leaders as she takes her place in the AIHF tonight. Lynn was integral in creating Delta Dental of Arkansas’s relationship with Walmart, the company’s largest account, and built up the Arkansas operations office from 15 team members to more than 100. As an operations leader, she rose to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. We're less than 24 hours away from inducting Regina Favors into the Arkansas Insurance Hall of Fame! Favors is a nationally respected healthcare executive, educator, and servant leader whose distinguished career has spanned more than five decades of leadership in the insurance industry, higher education, and community service. Throughout her career, Favors became the first Black woman to serve in executive management at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, breaking barriers while opening doors for future generations of leaders.
