Big news and a new chapter!

I'm excited to share that I've accepted the position of Executive Director at Ridgemere Senior Living in Conway, Arkansas!

Sometimes the pieces of your professional journey come together in ways you couldn't have fully anticipated. Ultimately without God's provision and guidance alongside my husband's support none of these changes would be happening. My background in mental health counseling, working with aging families, business ownership, and most recently pursuing my Licensed Nursing Home Administrator credentials have helped me gain this opportunity. I'm grateful.

With this new role comes an important transition in my professional practice. I'll be bringing my individual counseling services to a close as I step into this next season of leadership. However, I'll continue offering clinical supervision for counselors working toward licensure. Supporting and mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals is something I deeply value, and I'm grateful to be able to continue that work.

I've always believed that how we care for people matters just as much as the services we provide. Aging is a family experience, leadership is a relationship business, and creating a community where residents feel valued, employees feel supported, and families feel confident is work that truly matters.

I'm looking forward to this next season of learning, leading, building relationships, and making a difference alongside the team at Ridgemere. I am humbled by their expertise and support in this transition.

I'm incredibly grateful for the clients, families, colleagues, and friends who have been part of my counseling journey. That work has shaped me in unimaginable ways and I'll carry those skills into every room, every conversation, and every leadership decision moving forward.

The Department of Psychology and Counseling at the University of Central Arkansas is searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology to join us in Conway, AR, starting in August 2027.

We welcome scholars in any area of expertise, with a slight preference for health psychology, sport psychology, or industrial/organizational psychology. A doctorate in psychology or a related field is required.

We’re a collegial department (we know everyone says that, but we mean it!) with a shared focus on student and faculty growth

This is a core undergraduate faculty position, with some opportunities to teach in our graduate programs. Our department serves over 900 students across our BS program, our minors (Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Health Psychology, Multicultural Psychology, and Sport Psychology), and our graduate programs (Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, and Mental Health Counseling).

The University of Central Arkansas Assistant Professor is responsible for teaching, research and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. The position is tenure track and a nine-month appointment.
