๐ŸŒŸ Our latest Alumni Spotlight features Erin-Caitlin Rinker ๐ŸŒŸ

Erin-Caitlin is a 2005 graduate of the School Counseling program. During her time in the program, she helped reactivate the Counselor Education Student Association and served as president of the IUP Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota. She also served as the student representative for department faculty meetings. Dr. Guth and Dr. Lโ€™Amoreaux were on the faculty when she was a student.

As a graduate assistant to Dr. John Worzbyt, Erin-Caitlin was responsible for typing the manuscript for his published book, Teaching Kids to Care and To Be Careful. She also created images and charts for the book. Other graduate assistants assisted with research as well.

After working as a school counselor in Pennsylvania for eight years, predominantly at the high school level, Erin-Caitlin moved to Virginia and now works as an elementary school counselor with Fairfax County Public Schools.

Recently, she visited the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., where she requested Dr. Worzbytโ€™s book for viewing. While the original book was softcover, the Library of Congress binds every book into a hardcover.

Erin-Caitlin also learned long after the fact that Dr. Worzbyt passed away. She also learned long after the fact that Dr. Dandeneau passed away. Dr. Dandeneau made a significant impact in her life while studying at IUP.
