International Short Programs creates short-term, tailored curricular & cultural programs for international cohorts at the University of Kansas.

International Short Programs (ISP) is a unit within the division of International Affairs at the University of Kansas. For more than 20 years, ISP has provided on campus intercultural education experiences for visiting international students and professionals. ISP designs, facilitates, and delivers on-campus academic, English language, and professional short programs. We have been successful in securing federally grant-funded projects and collaborating on customized programs with our partner institutions. For each program, we provide comprehensive, people-focused services and program logistics before arrival through program’s end. Let us help you create a program to fit your needs!

Last year at this time, we were saying goodbye to this incredible group of young people from across Southeast Asia, who we hosted for 5 weeks as part of the 2025 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative. Last month, we got a chance to say "hello" during an impromptu reunion call.

To all our ISP alumni - Want us to get your old group from KU back together? Let us know!

What a busy summer! ISP also recently said goodbye to our visiting students from the ZJNU-KU Joint Institute Program. These 16 students spent four weeks at KU building their academic skills, strengthening their English, and exploring American culture both on and off campus. From expert faculty-led lectures to cultural excursions and campus experiences, the program offered a unique opportunity to learn beyond their classrooms in China.
Thank you for spending your summer with us. Rock Chalk!
