Please share this exciting opportunity for high school students interested in the outdoors: the ForestryWorks of KY Summer Field Course. Participants earn the Forest Worker Certification in an outdoor setting at UK's Robinson Forest (located in Breathitt County).

Students will spend the field course immersed in the forest doing hands-on learning with tree measurements, tree identification, harvesting timber, and managing forests for wildlife. In addition, they will visit an active logging site and tour a local wood industry.

Students will stay in historic American chestnut cabins. All students accepted to the field course will receive a scholarship to cover the cost of all meals, lodging, and PPE for the program.

The Kentucky Conservation Vendor Services Website is now live: https://app.fw.ky.gov/ConservationVendor

This searchable resource helps connect landowners, farmers, and natural resource professionals with businesses and contractors that provide conservation, agriculture, forestry, wildlife, and natural resource services across Kentucky. This project is a partnership among the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (programming and site host), UK Forestry and Natural Resource Extension, Kentucky Division of Forestry, Kentucky State University, and the Kentucky Division of Conservation.

What this resource offers:

-A central place to look up conservation-related vendors serving Kentucky.
-Vendor listings oriented to forestry, wildlife, agriculture, and natural resource services (e.g., habitat work, tree planting, timber services, and related conservation support).
-Access it here: https://app.fw.ky.gov/ConservationVendor

If you are a vendor, please register yourself and encourage others you know to get their information on the website.
