Our Menard Family Scholars are heading to Atlanta, and we're bringing you along! ✈️💜

Tomorrow, Julia Aldape and Billy Burns will take over our stories to share a behind-the-scenes look at their experience exploring Atlanta's business community, meeting with industry professionals, and discovering new career opportunities.

Julia, a freshman Marketing major from Prosper, Texas, is excited to hear from business professionals and learn about the experiences that shaped their careers.

Billy, from Lake Quivira, Kansas, plans to major in Finance and Accounting and is looking forward to expanding his network, exploring businesses throughout Atlanta, and making lasting memories.

During their visit, our scholars will also have the opportunity to connect with K-State business alumnus and Management Advisory Board member Bill Zawrotny of Jones Day, whose connections have helped make many of the trip's professional visits possible.

Follow along tomorrow as Julia and Billy show us what it means to take business education beyond the classroom!

We're closing out an incredible Partner of the Week with Koch by celebrating one of our own Wildcats and her internship success! 💜

Meet Kila Respress, a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) student at K-State who turned her classroom knowledge into real-world experience as an Accounting Analyst Intern with INVISTA, a Koch company, in Wichita!

From analyzing financial data and solving problems to building relationships with industry professionals, Kila's internship helped her strengthen the skills and confidence needed to succeed beyond graduation.

And the best part? Her journey with INVISTA isn't over! 🎉 Kila will be returning next summer to begin a full-time position in the accounting department!

Her advice for fellow Wildcats? "Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone because that's where you'll learn the most."

A huge thank you to Koch for an amazing Partner of the Week and for continuing to create opportunities that help our students turn classroom experiences into meaningful careers!

There’s more than one path from KSU to Koch. 🦉

Kansas State business students recently spent the day at Koch, connecting with alumni and getting a closer look at the different businesses, people, and opportunities that make up the company.

Throughout the day, a common thread emerged: careers are shaped by more than what you know. Andrea Unruh talked about the value of curiosity, asking questions, and building real relationships. Scott McGinn, president of Koch Fertilizer, shared how trust, follow-through, and creating value for others have influenced the way he approaches business and relationships.

Those ideas came to life in the conversations happening throughout the day with alums sharing their own experiences and paths along the way.
