🥽🐸🌿Three jam-packed days of 7th Grade Structure and Function Kit training with some truly amazing Region 10 educators from Barton Academy, Satsuma MS, Hankins MS, Grand Bay MS, Jackson MS, and Central Baldwin MS.
We learned a ton, laughed a lot, made new connections, and had so much fun together. We studied plant and animals at the cellular level all the way through to body systems through frog dissections. 🔬🧪
We had an enormous frog to dissect and one of the participants gave his “heart” away to our specialist. 😉❤️
Our director and math specialists joined in on the dissection fun as well!
This group was knowledgeable, supportive, hilarious, and an absolute joy to spend three days with.
Feeling grateful to learn alongside some of the very best. Region 10 has some incredible educators!

Amanda Richardson, K-8 Science Specialist, spent 3 days at our affiliate Legacy’s Beach Ecology session; Legacy and Gulf State Park Learning Campus provided a top-notch learning experience.
Participants experienced dissecting squid, writing with its pen and ink sac, building and setting track tubes for monitoring endangered beach mouse populations, collecting shells to enhance learning about biodiversity at our beaches, studying the history of our state regarding the vast riches of fossils found in Alabama, sea turtle nesting and protection, the innovative ways Gulf State Park designed eco friendly buildings and infrastructure at their facilities and SO much more. 10 out 10 recommend Legacy Educator Expeditions.
