This past Saturday, March 20th BUCOP lent a hand in the mass vaccination event at Nissan Stadium. Where approximately 10,000 residents in the Nashville community were vaccinated with the one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 shot.

BUCOP is honored to share that two of our students, Xrystina Bicoy and Austin Bailey, were awarded the prestigious Air Force Scholarship. There are only four of these awards given nationally and to think two of them are fellow Bruins - Congratulations!

The scholarship includes two years of paid tuition and the commissioned officer rank of 2nd Lieutenant while in pharmacy school. After graduation there is a service commitment of three years of active duty which can range from hospital pharmacy to managing an outpatient clinic at their assigned base.

The Annual White Coat Ceremony was held for the Class of 2024 on March 3, 2021. This is a special ceremony where we celebrate the profession of pharmacy and celebrate our future pharmacists. There were also awards which included the Being Belmont Award and the Friend of the College Award. The end of the ceremony included the 'Oath of A Pharmacist' which went a little like this, " I will embrace and advocate changes that improve patient care. I will utilize my knowledge, skills, experiences, and values to prepare the next generation of pharmacists." Congratulations on receiving your white coats Class of 2024 and may you serve your communities well.

Trish Soriano, BUCOP P1, has been serving in California through the US Air Force Reserve Team which was activated to assist with the COVID-19 pandemic. Now with COVID cases decreasing drastically in CA Trish's team has transferred to the vaccination mission. Trish (first one on the left) has been appointed the Non Commission Officer leading her vaccination team at one of the biggest vaccination sites in California.
