🎉 Please join us in congratulating Mark Labbe on his well-deserved promotion to Associate Vice President for Public Safety & Risk Management! 👏

Mark has been an integral part of Belmont's Office of Campus Security since 2015, serving first as Deputy Chief and then as Chief. In his new role, he will provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for the University's public safety, emergency planning, environmental health and safety, insurance, and risk management functions.

With 22 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army, two tours in Iraq, and graduation from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff & Command, Mark brings unmatched experience and steady leadership to this new chapter.

We're proud to celebrate this next step and excited to see the continued impact of his leadership across Belmont. Congratulations, Mark — thank you for your service and dedication! 🚔👮‍♂️

Please join us in congratulating Corey Thompson on being promoted to Major! 🎉

Corey joined the department in 2021 and quickly established himself as a leader of uncommon ability and energy. He has approached every assignment with creativity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for the mission of campus public safety. In the Events and Programming role, Corey brought structure, strategy, and measurable results to one of the most visible and complex functions in a campus security department, building relationships across the university community and demonstrating the kind of broad institutional thinking that the Executive Officer role demands.

In this position, he will serve at the right hand of the command team, helping to drive the operational, administrative, and strategic priorities that will define the next chapter of this department's growth. This is an exciting appointment, and we have every confidence that he will excel in this new capacity as he has excelled in every role that came before it.

He joined the department in 2016 and has built a career defined by progressive responsibility and sustained excellence. Serving in every role he's taken on with the same commitment, professionalism, and genuine investment in the people around him. That trajectory is not an accident. It is the result of a decade of deliberate, disciplined leadership that has made this department measurably better at every stage.📈

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Mike Moultry on his well-deserved promotion to Chief of Campus Security AND his graduation from his 10 week course at Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command!👏

Mike has served the past two years as the Deputy Chief of Campus Security and was promoted August 1st. During this same time, he not only completed the program but served as class president. These achievements are a reflection of years of hard work, dedication, and outstanding leadership. Chief Moultry has consistently shown a strong commitment to his team and to the community he serves, and this new role is a natural next step in an already impressive career.
