On Friday, TRIO scholars kicked off the school year with their Fall Orientation. 🎯

Scholars received etiquette training and learned about finaicial aid updates for the current academic year.

Guest speakers included Michael 'Brody' Broshears the director of University College, Dr. Marko Dumančić the associate vice president for Undergraduate Education and Dr. Andy Morgan, the assistant vice president and Dean of Students.

Illinois State University’s new-student orientation program has introduced significant changes to better serve incoming students, including virtual academic advisement prior to on-campus sessions and expanded opportunities for students to complete key tasks before the semester starts.

According to Corey Burgess, associate director in University College who oversees the program, the change was overdue.
