Congratulations to our COSD program winning the top donor award for blood donation. Giving back to our communities we serve is part of who we are.

🎉 Top Donor for Radford Gives Back! 🎉

We’re excited to share that our Communication Sciences and Disorders department earned Top Donor recognition in Radford University’s Radford Gives Back food drive! ❤️

Our department added a little friendly competition to the campus-wide campaign, with each cohort working to collect the most food items. Thanks to the generosity of our faculty and students, we collected just under 350 food items to support the Bobcat Backpacks Program, which provides weekend food packs to children in need in the Radford City Schools district.

A big thank-you to everyone who contributed! Your generosity and enthusiasm made this friendly competition a meaningful way to come together as a department and support children in our local community. We’re proud to be part of a university community that gives back!

Waldron was well represented at the Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Healthcare Summit held in Richmond. Faculty and students presented their poster on how the RU CARES Interprofessional Mobile Health Clinic will positively impact workforce needs and access in SW Virginia.
