It’s another and on this day, September 3, in 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Wilderness Act. The landmark federal law that created the National Wilderness Preservation System and authorized Congress to designate wilderness areas. We have several images of national parks, and Lyndon B. Johnson in our collections, and we have selected a few to show off today.
