Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Mu Tau Zeta Chapter

These women set out to carry forth the light of Zeta and to form the Mu Tau Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

In the tradition set forth by Zeta’s Five Pearls, another group of women recognized the need for an enthusiastic, civic minded graduate chapter in Speedway, Indiana. Mu Tau Zeta was charted on April 26, 1984. It held its chartering ceremony in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the Great Lakes Region. Five women participated in the chartering ceremony which was conducted by Lizzie Miller (then Great Lakes Regional Director) and Ida A Gamble (then Indiana State Director). These women are Beryl Borel, Effie Burford, Norma Dartis, Yvonne Heflin, and Jean Woodard. Soror Ida B King, who had held many national positions, from Gary, Indiana, was also in attendance. It is with great zeal and sisterly love that Mu Tau Zeta continues to promote the ideals of Zeta Phi Beta through cultural, educational, and civic programs in our community. The chapter participates with March of Dimes, the American Diabetes Association, Riverside Community Center, the 500 Festival, and the United Negro College Fund yearly. All members of Mu Tau Zeta are unique individuals who seek out other like minded women interested in upholding the standards and traditions of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

Flu can be more than a few days of feeling sick. Each year in the US, millions of people get sick, hundreds of thousands are hospitalized, and tens of thousands die from flu and related complications. An annual flu vaccine can help tame serious complications.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. To be protected in time for the holidays, folks need their shots by NOVEMBER 12th, as it takes about 2 weeks after the shot for protection to kick in. Don’t wait.

Did you know? 🤔
Nearly 300,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and 1 in 8 women in America will face it in their lifetime. While progress has been made, awareness alone isn’t enough.
For black and brown communities especially, the fight is even harder - resources and research haven’t always represented us. BUT, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is working to change that.

💕 Your voice, passion, and support can make the difference. Together, we can ensure every woman has access to the screenings, support, and care she deserves.

✨ Don’t just wear pink - take action!
✔️ Get screened.
✔️ Get involved.
✔️ Make a donation.

👉🏾 Let’s fight for every woman, everywhere. Are you in? 🥊🩷
