South Hills School of Business & Technology is a career school with locations in State College and Altoona. Pennsylvania, that is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Founders Paul (1930-2013) and Maralyn Mazza created South Hills School of Business & Technology in 1970 when they saw the need for more specialized skills training in central Pennsylvania.

Since then, more than 6,000 graduates have earned their degrees and gone on to lead successful careers. Paul and Maralyn believed in “Teaching People, Changing Lives,” a timeless ideal that continues to inspire faculty, staff, and students.

The South Hills Online Merchandise Store is open!

We've added exciting new items and fresh colors for the fall season, making it the perfect time to show off your South Hills pride. This year's collection also features a special T-shirt designed by Courtney Fowler from the Altoona Graphic Arts program. The winning design from the State College Graphic Arts program will be featured during the next online store opening.

The store will be open through September 17, and you can choose to have your order shipped directly to your home or pick it up at the State College or Altoona campus—whichever is most convenient for you. Please note that all orders will be processed and shipped after the online store closes.

South Hills School of Business & Technology announces the final event of the 2026 Music Picnic Series. On Sunday, August 30 free entertainment will begin at 6:00 p.m. on the north lawn with “Zeropoint Big Band”.

The 16-piece Zeropoint Big Band has been knocking the socks off Central PA music fans since 2009. Their post-modern-retro approach to big band jazz leaves few musical stones unturned. Their playlists range from classics from Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Thad Jones, and Duke Ellington to reimagined rock-and-roll anthems by Queen, the Who, U2, and the Beatles.

These free, outdoor concerts are held rain or shine at South Hills’ main campus located at 480 Waupelani Drive, State College. Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Grounds open at 4 p.m.; music starts at 6 p.m. and lasts until 7:30 p.m. This year we will be featuring “Dogs on the Run” hot dog cart for dogs and snacks.
