Want hands-on experience foaling out mares for class credit?

ANSI 3643: Equine Breeding & Foaling

Students will work alongside our team during foalings, mare palpations, foal handling, and learn about advanced reproductive techniques in both the mare and stallion. This class offers students the chance to build industry-relevant skills and experience!

For class approval, email our Herd Manager with your CWID, year, major, and whether you're on track to complete the Equine Management Certificate.

🍊 Welcome back, Cowboys! 🍊

We’re excited to welcome our returning students back to campus and those joining the Cowboy family for the first time!

The Cline Equine Teaching Center is proud to offer two hands-on equine courses this fall:
ANSI 1401 – Equine Behavior and Handling
ANSI 3402 – Equine Training Methods
Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience working with horses throughout the semester.

We will also have an outstanding group of yearlings selling this November. Stay tuned for more details and updates as we get closer to the sale!

Our breeding season is drawing to a close - our last mare was bred this week! We are so thankful for all of those who have supported our program, including our students, employees, couriers, OSU veterinarians, breeding facilities, stallion owners and clients who have bred to our stallion OSU Shiney Nickle (pictured below). The success of our program would not be possible with the many hands involved to make this all possible. Thank you all on a great season!
