📌Important Reminder

October 27 is the last day to officially withdraw from a full semester course with a “W”. You must meet with your advisor about any possible withdrawal, so please make an appointment with your advisor before October 27 if you need to discuss withdrawing from a course you are taking.

⚠️Upcoming closures in OSAT⚠️

*EDITED TO ADJUST TIMING ON NOV 6TH*

OSAT will be closed on the following dates:

Thursday, October 15th - Closed from 1:45pm to 3:45pm for a staff meeting.
Friday, November 6th - Closed from 1:15pm to 3:45pm for a staff event.
Thursday, November 19th - Closed from 1:45pm to 3:45pm for a staff meeting.
November 26th & 27th - Closed (all day) for Thanksgiving Break
Thursday, December 17th - Closed from 1:45pm to 3:45pm for a staff meeting.

WINTER BREAK: In accordance with WSU's winter break, we will be closed (all day) from December 19th through January 3rd. ⛄

Please note: We will be closed during the posted times. On dates we are closed for a meeting or event, we will be in the office and open for testing before and after the posted closure times.

💛Wichita State hosting ‼️FREE‼️ application days for Kansas residents Oct. 5-9!!💛

In alignment with the Kansas Board of Regents, Wichita State University is taking part in the statewide free college application period — Apply Free Days — Monday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Oct. 9.

During this period, any Kansas resident who applies for degree-bound undergraduate admission to Wichita State can do so without paying the application fee.

Prospective students can start and save their online application at any time, and as long as they submit the final application during the five-day window, the fee will be waived.

Resources and information related to Apply Free Days are available from the Kansas Board of Regents at kansasregents.org/applyfree.

Midterms are HERE! 😨Help us help YOU by reading the reminders below!

Please remember to schedule midterms in advance. If you schedule using "Instructor/Class Not Listed," please forward your confirmation email to [email protected] with the course number and prefix and instructor's name (example: ENGL 104 with Davey Jones). Without this information ahead of time, we are left scrambling for your exam, and it may affect testing times.

Do not schedule under a course you are not testing for. This creates confusion.

Also, MATH MIDTERMS are categorized under "Exams/Quizzes" on RegisterBlast. If you cannot find your exam, please schedule under "Instructor/Class Not Listed" and follow the instructions above.

City of Wichita Boil Water Advisory: Avoid Campus Drinking Fountains and Bottle-Filling Stations

(WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 — 9:12 a.m.)

The City of Wichita boil water has issued an advisory for Wichita water customers following a disruption at the City's water treatment system. Out of an abundance of caution, Wichita State University is advising students, faculty and staff not to use campus drinking fountains or bottle-filling stations until further notice.

Wichita State is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as additional information becomes available.

Faculty and staff are asked to place signs on drinking fountains and bottle-filling stations in their areas indicating that they should not be used until the advisory is lifted.

Expect interruptions in food and beverage services on campus. There will be free bottled water available at the Rhatigan Student Center. For the latest updates and information, please check this page.

Important back to school testing reminders!

Back to School Testing Reminders
1. Jackets with hoods or pockets are not permitted in exam rooms. Sweaters or sweatshirts without hoods or pockets are fine.
2. Schedule appointments at least three workdays prior to arriving at the testing center. For midterms and finals, please schedule 7 to 14 days ahead of time.
3. Appointments under "Instructor/Class Not Listed" - forward the confirmation email to [email protected] with exam information (example: MATH 111 with Davey Jones).
