Are you stuck with your classes and need some help? We know exactly where you need to go.

Parker Rehorn, academic advisor in the Liberal Arts and Sciences Advising Center, tells you exactly where you can go for academic help.

“The Shocker Learning Center, located in the Shocker Success Center, is a great place to find academic help. Within the learning center are the Math Lab, the Physics Help Desk, and the Writing Center. The Learning Center also offers one-on-one tutoring for a lot of courses.”

The Shocker Learning Center is located at the Shocker Success Center, room 207. They are open Monday to Thursday 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Do you ever feel like you don’t study enough, or that you are studying way too much? You are not alone!

Parker Rehorn, academic advisor in the Liberal Arts and Sciences Advising Center, shares his advice on exactly how much you should study outside of class.

“Study time will be different depending on the student and the course they are studying for. If you are keeping up with assignments and understanding the material, then you are probably studying the right amount for you. If not, you might need to put additional time into studying outside of class.”

Students majoring in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Forensic Sciences, Geology, Physics or Pre-Medicine should attend. Fairmount College students in any program who are interested in health or science careers are also encouraged to attend.
Students interested in healthcare or science careers can explore career paths, connect with professionals, and learn about job, volunteer and graduate school opportunities in health- and science-related fields.
