🖋️ National Values and Their Role in Shaping a Nation’s Identity

On 19 October 2026, Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted an educational session featuring Nodirbek Nurmatov, Chief Specialist at the Tashkent City Centre for Educational and Awareness Activities.

During the meeting, Mr Nurmatov highlighted the importance of national values, language, traditions and cultural heritage in shaping a nation’s identity and connecting generations.

The session emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage, strengthening young people’s sense of identity and supporting their intellectual development through education and reading.

🏆 WIUT Student Wins at the National IT Queens Competition!

We’re proud to announce that Tomila Boysunova has secured 1st place nationwide in the Cybersecurity category at the republican stage of the “IT Queens — Girls Creating the Future” innovation competition, held at the Transport University on 9 October 2026!

💻 Her innovative project focuses on automating pe*******on testing using a locally deployed AI model, enabling it to operate in closed and isolated environments.

Congratulations to Tomila on this outstanding achievement! We’re proud to see our students pushing the boundaries of innovation and contributing to the future of cybersecurity. 🚀

Peace as the Highest Value: Enlightenment Against Ignorance

On 8 October, Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted a spiritual and educational awareness session under the theme “Peace as the Highest Value: Enlightenment Against Ignorance.” The event brought together representatives of the Committee on Religious Affairs, students and senior tutors.

The session addressed the importance of knowledge, critical thinking and a well-informed worldview in strengthening young people’s resilience to ignorance, harmful ideologies and contemporary global challenges. Particular attention was given to religious tolerance, respect for universal human values, and the importance of accessing reliable and verified religious sources.

Students actively engaged in the discussion and had the opportunity to raise questions and exchange views.

WIUT hosted a Literary Meeting with Renowned Uzbek Authors

On 5 October 2026, Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted a creative meeting as part of the “Ma’rifat Ulashib” project, bringing together renowned Uzbek writers and poets Chorsham Ro‘ziyev, Muhiddin Omon and Nuriddin Aminjonov.

The meeting provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with prominent figures in Uzbek literature and learn more about their creative journeys, works and experiences. The guests shared insights into their entry into literature, the stories behind their works and the role of literature in shaping an individual’s worldview and spiritual development.

📖 A key focus of the discussion was the importance of reading and developing a strong reading culture among young people. The writers encouraged students to read regularly, choose meaningful literary and educational works, analyse what they read and draw valuable lessons from literature.

The meeting highlighted the importance of literary and educational initiatives in broadening students’ perspectives, strengthening their interest in literature, developing creative thinking and enriching their intellectual and cultural lives. The guests also shared excerpts from their works and answered students’ questions about literature, creative practice and reading.

A Day of Culture and Discovery: WIUT Students in Samarkand!

On 19 September, WIUT students travelled to Samarkand for a day of cultural discovery, meaningful experiences and unforgettable moments. 🚌✨

From exploring the city’s historic landmarks to experiencing its rich heritage, traditions and atmosphere, the trip brought students together and offered an opportunity to connect with Uzbekistan’s history and cultural values.

🇺🇿 Proud moment for WIUT!

Our Level 5 Business Management student Saidkhon Khamidov represented Uzbekistan’s U-23 National Football Team in their opening match at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. ⚽️

Uzbekistan secured a convincing 5–1 victory over the Philippines. 🇺🇿👏

Congratulations to Saidkhon and the team on a strong start to the tournament! We are proud to see our student representing Uzbekistan on the international stage.
