Exploring Cairns
Our Rissalah College adventure in Cairns has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, our students and staff have been immersed in breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable experiences, and moments of genuine connection that have made this journey truly special.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of tropical North Queensland, we have explored, learned, laughed, and grown together. Every activity has strengthened the bonds between our students and staff, creating a sense of unity, friendship, and belonging that extends far beyond the classroom.
Whether sharing new experiences, supporting one another through challenges, or simply enjoying the wonder of discovery together, this trip has reminded us of the power of community and the lasting impact of shared memories.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to experience the beauty of Cairns as one Rissalah family, and we look forward to creating even more cherished memories in the days ahead.
This is only the beginning of our Cairns adventure! Stay tuned as we continue to share more highlights, special moments, and exciting updates from this unforgettable journey

Al-Mubdī (ٱلْمُبْدِئُ) — The Originator ✨

Allah is the one who brought everything into existence from nothing — no template, no blueprint, no precedent. Every creature, every colour, every concept began with Him.
In learning, we are always building on what came before — textbooks, teachers, existing knowledge. But Al-Mubdī reminds us that true creativity and originality are gifts from the One who authored existence itself.

So when you feel stuck, uninspired, or like everything has already been done — turn to the Originator. Ask Him to open your mind, spark your thinking, and guide your ideas. Because the One who created the universe from nothing can certainly place something new and meaningful in your heart. 🌍📖

Year 2 had a wonderful day at Sydney Zoo as part of their studies on Living Things!

Despite the rainy weather, students showed great enthusiasm and resilience as they explored and learned about a variety of animals.

A big thank you to our staff and volunteers for helping make the day such a fantastic learning experience for our students!

Today at Rissalah College, we paused to do something important to look our students in the eyes and say: we see you, and what you do every day matters.
Our Awards Assembly this term was dedicated entirely to recognising the qualities that sit at the foundation of every great student and every great achiever ;effort, diligence, and conduct. Not just talent. Not just results. The daily commitment that makes real growth possible.
To our award recipients : your teachers nominated you because they watch you choose the harder, better path every single day. That is not a small thing. That is everything. We are incredibly proud of you, and we cannot wait to see where that dedication takes you.
To every student at Rissalah , your turn will come. Keep working hard and we believe in every one of you.
To our staff: thank you for seeing beyond the surface and nurturing the full potential of every young person in your care. And to our families, your support at home is the engine behind every achievement we celebrate here.
Congratulations to everyone!

Our Year 4 students had an amazing educational experience at the National Maritime Museum.
They explored fascinating exhibits, discovered stories of Australia’s maritime history, and deepened their understanding of the topics studied in class. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring history to life through hands-on learning and interactive experiences. Thank you to our staff, volunteers and students for making it such a memorable day!

“Speak good words to all people” — Surah Al-Baqarah 2:83 وَقُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا

A simple but powerful reminder: our words carry weight. Whether it’s a kind greeting, an encouraging word to a friend, or just speaking with respect to those around us, good words cost nothing but can mean everything.

Let’s make this our goal this week inshaAllah 🤍

Did you know? ☕🍋
Many everyday English words actually come from Arabic! Words like cotton (qutn), sugar (sukkar), lemon (laymun), magazine (makhazin) and coffee (qahwa) all have Arabic roots.

The Arabic language has shaped cultures, sciences and languages across the world for centuries — and its influence is all around us, even in the words we use every day.
