IEDA successfully held the 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏 and 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟓 at the Engineering Commons.

Designed to strengthen academic mentorship, the luncheon provided a collaborative platform for students to engage directly with their academic advisors. Conversations centered on academic planning, internship strategies, and career development. The result is a programming workflow that deploys faster, operates more safely, and adapts better to real industrial settings.

The HKSQ Student Project Competition 2026 recognises final-year projects that combine innovative thinking, measurable impact, and real-world applicability in industrial and systems engineering management.

We kicked off 𝐈𝐄𝐃𝐀 𝟏𝟎𝟏𝟎/𝟏𝟎𝟐𝟎 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with “𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐭𝐬: 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐄𝐃𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬” a student sharing session highlighting the fruitful summer experiences of three IEDA students: 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐦, and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐯. 💫

Following welcome remarks by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐢𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐙𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠, Department Head of IEDA, Visiting Professor 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐠 introduced the three speakers. They reflected on their recent internships, case competitions, and peer mentoring exchange journeys, sharing 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 and 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 💡 to help their classmates make the most of their upcoming breaks and prepare early for winter and summer opportunities. 💬
