【新生齊聚PolyU CPCE開學禮，開啟通往PolyU頒授學位的新旅程！】
舉辦「開學禮暨迎新講座2026」，歡迎 及 新生加入學院大家庭，一同揭開精彩校園生活的序幕。
PolyU CPCE院長 #阮博文 教授、PolyU CPCE副院長（資訊及發展）兼PolyU SPEED院長 #陳繼宇 博士，MH，JP、PolyU HKCC院長 #陸偉强 博士，以及PolyU CPCE四位學部主任、學生事務總監及就業服務總監等，向新生介紹學院概況、課程特色、校園設施、學生支援服務及課外活動，協助他們更快融入校園生活，為未來學習及個人成長做好準備。
現場氣氛熱烈，除了向每位新生送上迎新禮品包外，學院亦安排互動有獎問答遊戲。新生透過觀看學院短片及參與互動環節，加深對PolyU CPCE及其多元升學途徑的認識，並與新同學一同分享開學的喜悅，在歡笑聲中迎接人生新階段。
透過PolyU SPEED及PolyU HKCC，學生可循「2+2+1」或「4+1」升學路徑，逐步邁向更高學歷及專業發展，實現取得PolyU頒授學位的目標。

【New Students Gather at PolyU CPCE’s Welcome Ceremony and Embark on Their Journey Towards a Degree Awarded by PolyU!】
PolyU CPCE welcomed new students of PolyU SPEED and PolyU HKCC at the Welcome Ceremony and Programme Orientations 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with opportunities, aspirations and discoveries.
Prof. , Dean of PolyU CPCE, Dr , MH, JP, Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE and Director of PolyU SPEED, Dr , Director of PolyU HKCC, together with the four Division Heads, Head of Student Affairs and Head of Employability Services of PolyU CPCE, introduced the College’s overview, programme features, campus facilities, student support services and co-curricular opportunities, helping students settle into college life and prepare for the journey ahead.
The vibrant event featured welcome goodie bags and interactive quiz games with exciting prizes. Through engaging activities and a College video, students learned more about PolyU CPCE’s unique strengths and diverse educational pathways while making new friends and sharing the excitement of starting college life together.
Through PolyU SPEED and PolyU HKCC, students can pursue the “2+2+1” or “4+1” pathway, progressing towards higher academic qualifications and professional development while working towards a degree awarded by PolyU.

本屆比賽以「港多 De：文創．商品包裝設計比賽」為主題，分為兩大組別：文創組要求參賽者以「香港深度遊」為題，透過IP 文創設計宣傳香港旅遊；商品包裝設計組則以「香港特色手信」為題，設計具代表性的手信包裝，吸引全港六所大專院校近300份作品參賽。

【PolyU CPCE Students Win Four Awards at FUJIFILM Business Innovation Design Competition】
Congratulations to four students from PolyU SPEED and PolyU HKCC on their success at the Business Innovation Hong Kong Design Competition 2026!
This year’s competition, themed “More Design in Hong Kong: Intellectual Property Character & Product Packaging Design Competition”, attracted nearly 300 entries from six tertiary institutions across Hong Kong. Participants were invited to create original IP designs promoting “In-depth Tour of Hong Kong” and distinctive packaging for Hong Kong specialty souvenirs.
Awardees:
• Hung Wan-ching, Associate in Design (Visual Communication): FUJIFILM BI Excellence Award for Digital Spot Colour Application (IP)
• Wu Wing-ki, Associate in Design (Visual Communication): Local Culture Promotion Award (IP)
• Ling Yee-ting, Associate in Design (Visual Communication): Best Design Concept Award (Product Packaging)
• Fung Sum-kiu, BA (Hons) in Media and Communication Design: Judges’ Choice Design Award (IP)
During the award ceremony, the students showcased their winning works and shared their creative inspirations and design journeys with industry leaders and media representatives.

【香港、內地與國際頂尖專家攜手推動以人為本的輔助機械人設計，促進居家安老】
由香港特區政府 #研究資助局 資助的「輔助機械人會議 2026」日前於理大西九龍校園舉行，匯聚來自香港、內地、加拿大、英國、丹麥及荷蘭的知名學者、研究人員、專業人士及業界專家，共同探討如何透過 #輔助機械人 及數碼科技，協助長者在家居及社區環境中安全、自主及有尊嚴地生活。
以「以協作共創方式設計輔助機械人，促進居家安老」為主題，會議強調長者及照顧者應參與科技設計過程，讓創新方案更貼合實際需要、更具包容性，並符合倫理原則。
會議涵蓋銀髮科技、智慧家居、遙距醫療、人工智能及公共政策等議題，促進學術界、業界及社區持份者交流合作，攜手推動居家安老。

【Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland, and Internationally Leading Experts Advance Co-created Assistive Robotics for Aging in Place】
The Research Grants Council-funded Assistive Robotics Conference 2026, held at the PolyU West Kowloon Campus, brought together renowned scholars, researchers, practitioners, and industry experts from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, Canada, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and the Netherlands to explore how assistive robots and digital technologies can help older adults age safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities.
Under the theme “Co-Creating Assistive Robot Design to Facilitate Aging in Place,” the Conference highlighted the importance of involving older adults and caregivers in the design process to create more inclusive, practical, and ethically grounded innovations.
Covering topics such as , smart housing, telemedicine, , and public policy, the Conference fostered collaboration among academia, industry, and community stakeholders to advance .

【輔助機械人會議 2026】

面對人口高齡化趨勢，如何運用科技協助長者在熟悉的社區環境中獨立生活，已成為重要的社會及政策議題。

將於2026年8月25日至26日舉行的「Assistive Robotics Conference 2026」（輔助機械人會議 2026），將聚焦探討如何透過共創、參與式設計及跨學科協作，發揮輔助機械人在促進原居安老方面的應用與潛力，並匯聚學者、研究人員、醫護專業人士、業界專家、政策制定者、照顧者及長者，共同交流研究成果與創新實踐。

會議將由來自香港、中國內地、加拿大、丹麥、荷蘭及英國的知名學者、研究人員及業界專家分享真知灼見，共同探討輔助機械人技術及相關政策發展。會議由PolyU CPCE李穎博士擔任會議主席，並由屈大明博士擔任聯席會議主席。

【Assistive Robotics Conference 2026】

As populations around the world continue to age, supporting older adults to live independently in their own homes and communities has become an increasingly important social and policy priority.

Taking place on 25–26 August 2026, the Assistive Robotics Conference 2026 will explore how assistive robots can facilitate aging in place through co-creation, participatory design, and interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together academics, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry experts, policymakers, caregivers and older adults to exchange knowledge and innovative ideas.

The conference will feature renowned scholars, researchers, and industry experts from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The conference is chaired by Dr Stephanie Lee and co-chaired by Dr Edmund Wut, both from PolyU CPCE.

Aspiring to advance your career in the construction industry while working? Want to earn a degree with government subsidy support? Join our free online info session "Earn a Construction-related Degree with On-the-Job Training Subsidy — Up to $90,000"!

The info session will introduce the OJT scheme implemented by the Development Bureau, covering eligibility requirements, subsidy arrangements and programme options.
