Lee Hysan Hall (利希慎堂) is one of the 13 residential halls in the University of Hong Kong, which provides accommodation for both male and female undergraduates and postgraduates. It is named after the land developer and entrepreneur Lee Hysan, as it is founded with the help and sponsorship of the Lee family. The building was completed in 1992 and is located at 6B Sassoon Road, Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong. Lee Hysan Hall always aims at providing different platforms to complement the education of the University in achieving whole-person development. It is always our belief that hall is more than a place to provide accommodation. It should be a place for our growth, for maximizing our capacity and for learning to give-and-take. We aim at cultivating hallmates with a wide horizon who are contributive to the communities they live in. It is a community in which individuals are close and caring to each other. We treasure harmony as one of our core values, which arises out of mutual respect, compassion and understanding. Moreover, being initiative is an important quality among hysanians. We respect freedom and choice while demanding responsibility. We can feel the unity and spirit of our hall in tears and sweat we shed when we are devoted to our Sports and Cultural teams. Our hall cry--- “Never fall. We are We are Hysan Hall” captures our hall’s spirit and shows our hallmates’ perseverance. Here you are welcomed to many different opportunities to enrich yourselves. You can also get to know lifelong friends in the various units and activities you engage in. To live in Lee Hysan Hall is a valuable chance to ignite your life and passion.
