【16th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum】
How can nursing embrace technology without losing the human touch?

Join us at the 16th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum (HKINF), taking place from November 23–25, 2026. Under the theme “Digital Empathy, Innovating with Heart”, the Forum will explore how technology can support nursing practice and education while keeping compassion, humanity and care at the centre.

【港大本科入學資訊日2026】
香港大學本科入學資訊日已經圓滿舉行，衷心感謝各位蒞臨參與，與我們一同探索護理專業。

活動當日設有三場入學講座，並很榮幸獲香港大學副校長(健康)(暫任)、香港大學李嘉誠醫學院院長劉澤星教授親臨致歡迎辭，以示支持。畢業生及在校學生亦分享職涯發展、學習經歷及校園生活，讓參加者多角度認識港大護理。

除了課程講座外，今年更增設模擬面試和面試技巧工作坊。同學能從模擬面試親身體驗面試情境，並獲即場提供回饋與建議；面試技巧工作坊則分享實用面試策略，為有志投身護理專業的同學裝備自己。

參加者亦踴躍參與課程諮詢，進一步了解入學資訊，課程特色、增潤課程、臨床實習安排及未來發展。

最受歡迎的當然少不了參觀先進設備的模擬病房。透過模擬情境和護理技巧示範，體驗護理學習，並了解護理專業在醫療系統的重要角色。

【Info Day 2026 for Undergraduate Admissions】
HKU Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions was successfully held. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us to explore the nursing profession.

Three admissions talks were held throughout the day and we were honoured to have Professor Chak-sing Lau, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health) (Interim) and Dean of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, deliver welcoming remarks in support of the event. Alumni & current students also shared their career journeys, learning experiences, & campus life, offering participants different perspective on HKU School of Nursing.

In addition to the admissions talks, the Mock Interview & Interview Workshop were newly introduced this year. Through the mock interviews, participants experienced an interview setting firsthand & received immediate feedback & advice. The Interview Workshop provided practical strategies to equip students aspiring to pursue nursing better prepare for future interviews.

Participants also actively took part in programme consultations to learn more about admissions information, curriculum highlights, Life Enrichment Learning, clinical practicum & future development opportunities.

Visits to our state-of-the-art simulation wards were among the most popular activities. Through simulated scenarios & nursing skills demonstrations, participants gained experience of nursing education & a better understanding of the important role of the nursing profession in the healthcare system.

【仁毅醫學教育計劃2026年度結業典禮】
港大護理學院共有四位本科生獲「2026年仁毅醫學教育計劃」資助，包括兩位護理學學士課程 (全日制) 學生及兩位護理學學士菁英領袖培育專修組別課程學生。暑假期間，他們分別前往北京及上海參與為期兩周的實習交流。

今年計劃報名人數創新高，當中64名本港優秀醫護學生通過嚴謹遴選，獲選赴內地學習。同學走進多個專科臨床環境，認識嶄新的診療模式、人工智能在醫療領域的應用，以及以人為本的病患照護，並透過文化考察開拓眼界。

同學們近日一同出席結業典禮，分享學習成果及交流心得。香港大學副校長（健康）（暫任）、香港大學李嘉誠醫學院院長劉澤星教授及香港大學護理學院教與學委員會主席（本科）及副教授蔡沛恒教授亦親臨典禮，祝賀同學圓滿完成實習交流計劃，並見證他們在專業知識、臨床視野及個人成長方面的收穫。

【Project Empadurance Speech Day 2026】
Four undergraduates from the HKU School of Nursing received sponsorship from Project Empadurance 2026, including two Bachelor of Nursing Porgramme (Full-time) students and two Bachelor of Nursing Advanced Leadership Track students. During the summer, they travelled to Beijing and Shanghai respectively to participate in two-week internship and exchange programmes.

The programme received a record number of applications this year. Following a rigorous selection process, 64 outstanding healthcare students from Hong Kong were selected to undertake learning experiences in Mainland China. The students gained exposure to a range of clinical specialties and insights into advanced clinical practices, applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and humanistic patient care, while broadening their horizons through cultural visits.

Recently, the students gathered at the Project Empadurance Speech Day to share their learning experiences and reflections. Professor Chak-Sing Lau, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health) (Interim) and Dean of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong and Professor Edmond Choi, Chair of Teaching & Learning Committee (Undergraduate Education) and Associate Professor of HKU School of Nursing, attended the ceremony to congratulate the students on completing their internship and exchange journey and celebrate their achievements in professional knowledge, clinical exposure, and personal growth.

【Visit from University of Queensland Delegation】
It was our pleasure to welcome a delegation from the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work, The University of Queensland, to the HKU School of Nursing for a fruitful exchange on nursing education and innovation.

The visit brought together colleagues from both institutions to share perspectives and experiences in nursing education. A visit to our clinical skills laboratory and simulation training centre provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on simulation-based teaching and the use of innovative technologies to support student learning.

The exchange opened up further conversations on shared interests and potential areas for future academic collaboration.

【香港大學護理學院參與武漢大學中南醫院建院70周年慶祝活動】
香港大學護理學院很榮幸應邀於2026年10月16日赴武漢，出席武漢大學中南醫院建院70周年慶祝活動。活動包括「2026年公立醫院創新協同發展會議」及一系列學術交流，圍繞創新與醫療衞生高質量發展等議題展開交流與探討。

香港大學護理學院院長林佳靜教授獲邀以「AI時代下的護理教育：融合人工智能素養、人性關懷與數字共情」為題作專題分享。

是次活動亦標誌著香港大學護理學院與武漢大學護理學院合作的重要里程碑，體現雙方攜手推動護理教育及研究發展的共同願景。我們期待進一步深化雙方合作，拓展學術交流，共同推動護理及醫療衞生領域的創新與發展。

【HKU School of Nursing participated in the 70th Anniversary Celebration Conference of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University】
The HKU School of Nursing was honoured to join the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in Wuhan on October 16, 2026, which featured the 2026 Public Hospital Innovation and Collaborative Development Conference and a series of academic exchanges on innovation and high-quality healthcare development.

Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Director of the HKU School of Nursing, was invited to deliver a presentation entitled “Nursing Education in the AI Era: Integrating AI Literacy, Humanistic Care and Digital Empathy”.

The occasion also marked an important milestone in the collaboration between the HKU School of Nursing and Wuhan University School of Nursing, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing nursing education and research. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration and fostering further academic exchange and innovation in nursing and healthcare.

【平湖市政府代表團到訪香港大學護理學院】
我們十分榮幸近日接待平湖市政府代表團蒞臨香港大學護理學院參觀交流。

代表團由理學士（護理學）課程總監李惠慈教授、副課程總監何牧行教授及課程團隊接待。參觀期間，代表團到訪本院的臨床技能實驗室及模擬培訓中心，觀摩模擬教學示範，並了解創新科技如何融入護理教育。

是次訪問提供了寶貴的交流機會，讓雙方分享教學實踐經驗，並探討未來合作的可能性，包括學術交流、聯合研究，以及師生交流等。

【Visit from Pinghu Municipal Government Delegation】
We were delighted to welcome a delegation from the Pinghu Municipal Government to the HKU School of Nursing.

The delegation was welcomed by the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programme team, led by Programme Director Professor Polly Li and Assistant Programme Director Professor Benjamin Ho. During the visit, the delegation toured our clinical skills laboratory and simulation training centre, where they observed a demonstration of simulation-based teaching and gained insights into how innovative technologies are integrated into nursing education.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to share our teaching practices and explore opportunities for future collaboration, including academic exchange, joint research, and faculty and student exchanges.
