Welcome to Sallynoggin College of Further Education. We offer a range of full-time QQI courses

Sallynoggin College of Further Education (SCFE) is a recognised centre of excellence in the provision of further education and training (PLC) courses for school-leavers and mature students. SCFE has outstanding teachers in each course who are highly trained and experienced in their chosen subject fields. SCFE has a warm welcoming environment with a pleasant and kind atmosphere.

Building connections through play!

Our Advanced Training in Special Needs and Play Therapy students recently took part in a therapeutic play activity focused on introducing themselves in a creative and meaningful way. Through play, students explored self-expression, communication, and relationship-building skills while experiencing firsthand how therapeutic activities can help children feel safe, understood, and connected.

A wonderful session full of creativity, reflection, and learning.

Our Advanced SNA students demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills during today’s class activities.

Working in groups, Group One researched and compiled a list of facts and myths about disabilities before challenging Group Two to identify which statements were true and which were misconceptions.

Group Two was tasked with planning a birthday party for 20 children, ensuring that the event was inclusive and accessible for all attendees, including children with both visible and invisible disabilities.

These engaging activities encouraged students to reflect on inclusion, challenge stereotypes, and consider practical ways of creating environments where every child feels valued, respected and supported.

🌟 Industry Insights for Our Early Learning & Care Students 🌟

On Monday, we were delighted to welcome representatives from several local Early Years services to speak with our Early Learning & Care students.
A sincere thank you to Rebecca from Wee Care Day Nurseries, Elaine from Treehouse Pre-School & Montessori, Nicola from Play & Learn, and Nikki and Claire from Cocoon for taking the time to share their experiences and insights. Their discussions gave students a valuable understanding of the Early Years sector, career opportunities within the profession, and the vital role Early Years Educators play in supporting children’s learning and development.
We greatly appreciate their encouragement, expertise, and commitment to supporting the next generation of Early Years professionals.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen our links with industry partners and working together to support our students and the wider community.
