What an incredibly talented group of students!!

Huge congratulations to PRCA/PRSSA at UAB for bringing home Chapter of the Year, Student of the Year (Nic Amison), Judge's Choice Award (Kristen Chau Le), Best in Show Award (Alexis McClellan) AND 35 individual student awards from the Public Relations Council of Alabama at its annual conference!

Congratulations also to the chapter for winning the Chapter Campaign Award (Alex Axtel, Mariah Mack, Katie Steele and Riley Watkins) and Chapter Newsletter Award from the Alabama Public Relations Society of America!

So proud of the creativity, professionalism, leadership and hard work these students continue to demonstrate. The future of public relations is bright! 💚🐉

This spring, students in UAB’s PRCA/PRSSA chapter, housed in the UAB Department of Communication Studies, earned 35 awards at the Public Relations Council of Alabama conference, along with two honors from the Alabama chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Judged by industry professionals, the award-winning work underscores the program’s strong focus on hands-on experience, professional development, and meaningful networking opportunities.

It was One for the Books 📚 🎉! On Monday, continued to uphold its long-standing tradition of celebrating all faculty authors from the previous year (published in 2025) at the ‘One for the Books’ event held at the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts.
