We love seeing Blazers reach new heights. 🚀

Seven UAB students have been recognized by the NASA Alabama Space Grant Consortium, earning scholarships and fellowships that will support their education, research and future careers in STEM.

And two of our Blazers are headed even farther: UAB doctoral students will conduct research at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Johnson Space Center.

Class is back in session, so we asked UAB neuroscience what your brain needs to keep up.

The answers? More sleep. Less cramming. Regular movement. Manageable routines. And studying that makes you actually *retrieve* what you've learned instead of reading the same page six times.

At UAB, our researchers are learning more about how the brain works — and turning that knowledge into practical ways to help students learn, remember and thrive.

It’s not move-in without our Blazer parents. 💚

From packing up the car and driving to campus to unloading, decorating and making those last-minute grocery runs, we see all the love that goes into getting a Blazer settled into their new home.

To all the parents and families who helped make move-in happen: Thank you for everything you’ve done to get our Blazers here... right down to that one last hug before heading home.

And just like that, our Blazers are moving back on campus — and “see you later” came a little too soon. 💚

There were boxes to unpack, rooms to arrange and plenty of excitement about what comes next. But we know that last hug before heading home meant a little more.
