🎉 Welcome to our new faculty and staff joining us this Fall! We are excited for them to share their unique expertise and talents with the SOE community.
TEDU Faculty:
Alexandra Reilly, Ph.D., will be joining our special education team. She is both a special education educator and a doctoral-level behavior analyst. She most recently worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, GA. Her research focuses on behavior analytic interventions, specifically verbal behavior, to enhance social and communicative opportunities for individuals with complex communication needs.
Zachary Taylor, Ph.D., will be teaching our graduate students in the Ed.D. program. He has spent his career across K-12 and higher education working in data analysis, research, teaching, student success, and enrollment management. His most recent research focuses on how financial knowledge, family involvement, and institutional support shape students’ educational experiences across academic levels.
SOE Staff:
Nicole Cockle is the Office Manager for the Department of Teacher Education. She graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Economics and a double minor in Spanish and Law & Ethics. After finishing her degree, she worked for the American College of the Mediterranean - Institute for American Universities where she was a Study Abroad Advisor for their Barcelona program.
Mary Carr is the Social Media & Marketing Coordinator for the School of Education. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a double major in English and Communications. While studying at the College, she worked as a tutor and advisor for the CharlestonLIFE Program and as a consultant in the Writing Lab.
N.E. Miles ECDC Staff:
Isabelle Grober is the Lead Teacher in the two-year-old classroom. She graduated from the College of Charleston with her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Isabelle is passionate about integrating the arts, music, and nature into the classroom environment to inspire creativity, encourage curiosity, and build connections while supporting the child's cognitive development.
Emily Quinn is the Lead Teacher in the four & five-year-old classroom. She graduated from the College of Charleston with her Master of Arts in Elementary Education and her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. Prior to ECDC, Emily began her teaching career in Berkeley County before spending the past three years teaching Primary and Pre-K at Ashley Hall. She loves creating joyful, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every child feel right at home in the classroom.
