Mizzou is committed to developing tomorrow's healthcare professionals. Here at Mizzou Engineering, we’re proud of our students who are pursuing a new pathways program for engineering students who also want to be physicians.

Asrith Amaravadi , Riley Dycus , Emma Herrmann and Luke Snyder are among the first cohort of the PEN Physician Engineers Pre-Admission Program, a School of Medicine program designed to offer them firsthand insight into how engineering principles are shaping advancements in diagnostics and patient care.

By expanding opportunities aligned to our mission to serve all Missourians, Mizzou is strengthening the physician workforce and advancing our mission: to save and improve lives.

Mizzou Engineering produces ambitious entrepreneurs who are rethinking the future.

Andrew Kruszka , BSCoE ’25, took part in the University of Missouri Entrepreneur Quest (EQ) program at the Griggs Innovators Nexus, which empowers students to start their own businesses during college.

He went on to co-found WaterfowlAI , which offers a mobile hunt management platform that enables outfitters, land managers, clubs and other users to track, log and analyze hunting operations.

Congratulations to newly minted McNair Scholar Alan Conway!

The MU McNair Scholars Program provides enriching experiences that prepare eligible students for doctoral study.

One of the most exciting aspects of the McNair Program is the opportunity for undergraduate students at the junior and senior levels to participate in research experiences.

Conway is currently working with Professor Nicole Hashemi on research involving space manufacturing and microfluidics. This year, his project will involve collecting experimental data from the microdevice to build a machine learning algorithm that will be used to predict manufacturing parameters based on desired material properties.

"Through McNair, I’m looking forward to building on this work, developing my research skills, and exploring my long-term interests in advanced manufacturing and materials engineering," he said.

Wednesday, Sept. 2, is the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Energy Innovation Center (EIC). This state-of-the-art facility will be a collaboration among the College of Arts and Science, the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources; and the College of Engineering, where research, education and industry collaboration are combined under one roof. As the fall semester begins, Mizzou students can take advantage of the Missouri Method philosophy of learning-by-doing through organizations such as Mizzou Racing, the Mizzou Quarter Scale Tractor Pulling Team and the Mizzou Space Program.
