Knox College SAAC and Knox Athletics are participating in the Midwest Conference Giving Challenge, and we would love to get organizations and groups from across campus involved!

From October 14 through November 11, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items to support FISH Food Pantry here in Galesburg while competing alongside other institutions throughout the Midwest Conference.

Rather than making this just an athletics initiative, we want to bring the entire Knox community together and see how much of an impact we can make!

There are lots of ways you or your group can get involved. You could host a collection within your organization, incorporate donations into an event you already have planned, collaborate with SAAC on an event, or help us promote the challenge.

Let's support athletes and the FISH Food Pantry!

I'm so blessed to live in a community that cares about the kids!

Yesterday morning, I posted that our morning crew at Blessings in a Backpack had everything prepped and ready for bag packing. When evening arrived, the response was incredible!
The room was buzzing with energy from over 35 volunteers, upbeat music, and non-stop teamwork. We were so caught up in the joy of the moment and packing as many bags as possible for local kids that I didn't stop to take a single photo. While I don't have a picture to capture the night, the impact of your hard work speaks for itself.
A huge, heartfelt thank you to all of the dedicated volunteers who gave their time and effort to support our community's children. We are deeply grateful to the representatives from:
Blessings in a Backpack Student Organization
CBI Bank & Trust
First Presbyterian Church
First Christian Church
Interact Club
National Honor Society
Knox College
Lions Club
Noon Rotary
St. Crescent Parish
Lombard Student Council
The Wilde’s
Events like this remind us of the power of community. Because of your dedication, countless local students will head home with the food they need this weekend. Thank you for showing up, working hard, and bringing so much heart to our mission! See you each Tuesday!

"Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’" — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Join us tomorrow night to make a direct impact in our community with Blessings in a Backpack! We’ll be packing food bags to help ensure local kids have the nutrition they need over the weekend.

Here is how you can join us:

Knox Students: Meet us in the Alumni Hall circle drive at 5:45 PM to walk over together as a group.

Direct Meet-Up: Meet the team directly at the church (101 N. Prairie St.) at 6:00 PM.

Bring a friend, lend a hand, and help us make a difference! See you tomorrow night!
