The James Madison University School of Nursing is excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of CHBS Phase II and the future of nursing education at JMU!

These new learning spaces will expand opportunities for competency-based education, including high-fidelity simulation, clinical practice, and competency demonstration. This investment will help prepare future generations of nurses for the ever-evolving demands of healthcare.

A special thank you to senior nursing student Robyn Morris for speaking at the ceremony and highlighting the impact the new facilities will have on expanding nursing education at James Madison University. We would also like to extend our congratulations to Robyn, who has accepted a position in the Emergency Department at UVA Health. Robyn shared that the outstanding educational opportunities at JMU helped prepare her for this exciting next step in her career. We’re excited for what’s ahead! 🐾 💜💛 🩺

Future Ready is Now at the Teen Center!

This past Monday our teens had the chance to welcome students from the JMU School of Nursing. The teens learned new skills like how to make first aid kits, use a stethoscope, measure blood pressure, and more in such a fun way!

Thank you to JMU School of Nursing for taking the time to share your knowledge and inspire our teens! This was the first time many of the teens got to work so closely with healthcare professionals.💜💛

We are grateful for the warm welcome from our colleagues at Prince of Songkla University in Hat Yai, Thailand! Dr. Hui Zhao and Dr. Jamie Robinson enjoyed building on our JMU–PSU partnership, continuing our COIL collaboration, and planning for a Summer 2027 study abroad experience for JMU nursing students.
