I-O-W-A! 🖤💛 Just in time for the 1st football game, new UI pharmacy residents learned the basics of being a Hawkeye! They were coached by our recent PharmD grads Carley Uhl and Tobey Klungseth. 🥰 The fun was part of orientation for the Pharmacy Educators Preparation Program for Residents and Fellows (PEPPR), now directed by Associate Professor of Instruction Kathryn Smith.

The workshop emphasized teaching and precepting skills and is a core requirement of the PEPPR Teaching Certificate Program, which prepares participants in the art and science of teaching and learning.

The inaugural NACDS Foundation Emerging Leaders Academy included rising star and PharmD student Lucas Hardy! 💫 Congrats!

It was a chance for him to develop leadership skills, build professional connections, and explore the future of pharmacy practice. 👏 Lucas was nominated by Dean, Jean M. Schmidt Chair, and Professor Jill Kolesar and Associate Dean Cindy Sanoski. The program was held during the NACDS Total Store Expo in Boston.
