Our PharmD students support student-athletes in more ways than cheering. 😊 This month, they offered flu shots to student-athletes at three clinics, part of our fall Healthy Hawks: One Team, One Goal series to help keep them ready to compete. 💉 We collaborated with UI Athletics and University of Iowa Health Care, supported by a grant from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation. Nominations for the Zada Cooper Leadership Medal close Sunday, Nov. 1.

Zada Cooper earned her pharmacy degree from Iowa in 1897 and taught here for 45 years, championing women in pharmacy, patients, and stronger standards in pharmacy education. This national medal, awarded with the American Pharmacists Association and the APhA Foundation, carries her legacy forward.

On to the finals! 📣 Congratulations to PhD candidate Eman Kamel on making it to the UI Three Minute Thesis competition’s last round! The 3MT challenges graduate students to bring their research to life in just 180 seconds. Advancing to the finals is a testament to Eman’s skill in communicating advanced research so that anyone can understand. 💯 Join us in congratulating Eman and cheering her on!
