University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Admissions Welcome to the Pitt-Johnstown Admissions Office page! Interact and stay connected with incoming fres

In addition to the campus directly in the city of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh has four regional campuses located throughout western Pennsylvania. They vary in size, location, and student population, while still maintaining the same high quality standards of education that Pitt is internationally recognized for. Pitt-Johnstown is the largest of the regional campuses, second in the syst

em only to the Pittsburgh campus. Nestled in the scenic Laurel Highlands, it has continued to offer a high quality Pitt education at a smaller scale since 1927. One of the unique benefits of Pitt-Johnstown and some of Pitt’s other regional campuses is that they are designed for students who want a smaller campus. While students can use the regional campuses as a stepping stone to the Pittsburgh campus, most students at Pitt-Johnstown apply directly to us with the intention of staying here for four years and obtaining a degree. For some students, a large campus simply is not what they are looking for, so Pitt-Johnstown presents the perfect blend of large university education with a smaller campus feel. Located on 655 acres in the Laurel Highlands area of Pennsylvania, Pitt-Johnstown is physically the third largest campus in the state. Though that may sound intimidating, it is very easy to navigate the tree-lined pathways of campus without getting lost. If you enjoy outdoor activities, the nature trails on campus provide a great place to hike or ride a bike, and campus itself is located within 40 minutes of two major ski resorts. The area around campus is well-populated and suburban, with anything you could possibly need within 5 minutes of campus.
