The trails are reopened! Thanks again for steering clear of Not-So-Mag and a section of the Powerline. brought seven sheep for the third year of a prescribed grazing project, and thanks to Not-So-Mag is re-opened! We always love spending time with the sheep - see if you can find the graze plots on your next hike! 🐑

April showers bring spring… Garlic Mustard! As you enjoy the Arb trails, keep your eyes peeled for this quick-spreading non-native. Pull from the base of the stem to remove the roots, toss the plant into trash bags or the labeled bins on trail, or bring it home to experiment with this edible invasive. Thanks for helping native plants thrive!

Happy Homecoming! Join us this weekend to celebrate the Lillian Anderson Arboretum’s 25th anniversary by visiting us in Dewing Hall Commons on Saturday 10/7 from 11am-1pm. We’ll have student projects, photos, cookies and will be available to chat about past experiences and future projects. The Arb will also be open from dawn to dusk - we hope you’ll stop by for a visit or a walk!
