🌟 Summer Career Discovery in Pharmacy! 💊🎓

Check out a few photos from this summer’s Career Discovery experience! Nine TRIO high school students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy Day Camp in June.

Students got an inside look at what it’s like to pursue a career in pharmacy while working alongside current KU pharmacy students. They explored patient counseling, diabetes education, compounding, and so much more, and all while learning what it takes to prepare for a future in pharmacy school.

This is a great opportunity for any of our TRIO students who love ART and want to contribute to the Art community! Take a look and enter your artwork!

Students in Wyandotte County: submit a piece for our art show! The exhibition will take place at EPIC Clay Studio during the Third Friday Art Walk on September 18 🎨 We’ll have cash prizes for each age group, as well as a special Community Choice award! Share this with a talented K-12 student in your life.

🏠 The theme is Home: submit by August 14 through the link in our bio (QR on this flier)

🎨 Visual Art such as drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, etc

🪴Eligible: K-12 students living in Wyandotte County (USD 500)

Get ready for the new school year at the Wyandotte County Back to School & Health Fair.

Join Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools and the KCK Foundation for Excellence on Saturday, August 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Homefield KC (9250 State Ave.) for a day of free resources and family fun to help students start the 2026-2027 school year strong.

Families can receive:
• Free backpacks, school supplies, and books while supplies last
• Vision screenings, dental exams, sports physicals, and immunizations
• Information and support from local community organizations
• Special appearances by KC Wolf and the Chiefs Cheer Team
• Live broadcast from KPRS

We look forward to welcoming Wyandotte County families as we kick off another great school year!
