New setup. New weekly newsletter. Same BNI crew trying to figure out what’s happening before 8 AM. 😂

We changed things up a little at Business Leadership Network this morning, and WHEW… apparently we don’t love change before coffee. But once we got rolling, it was another great Thursday!

This week’s featured presenters were Jon Loew with Ken & Jon Woodworking and Henry Covington with Covington Heat & Air. Two great local businesses and two more opportunities to learn exactly who we can connect our fellow members with.

AND… thanks to Jon, we also learned there are officially only 113 days until Christmas. 🎄

Bill Lovell with Hero Healthcare renewed his membership which means.. this group works!

We’re also loving our new weekly chapter performance update! Last week alone, our chapter passed 32 referrals, held 32 one-to-ones, completed 61 CEUs, welcomed 4 visitors, and generated $13,894 in closed business.

Not bad for a group that got completely thrown off by moving a few things around. 😂

Great meeting, great presentations, and another great week of doing what BNI does best: building relationships and helping local businesses grow.

We had a GREAT morning yesterday at our Business Leadership Network for our monthly Visitor Day!

New faces, great conversations, referrals being passed, awards being handed out… and apparently networking before 9 AM is a little more fun with mimosas. 🤪

This week’s featured presenter was Tyler Green with Green Windows! If you’re looking for good-quality windows without spending a small fortune, Tyler is your guy. Quality, price-conscious options and someone we’re happy to recommend!

And here’s something our group is REALLY proud of: we’ve already passed over $2.2 MILLION in closed business this leadership year! 👏 That’s what happens when you put a room full of business owners and professionals together who genuinely want to help each other grow.

Congratulations to all of our Notable Networkers and award winners this week, and of course, Eric Cotton for taking home the coveted Golden Plunger! 🪠🏆 Yes… that is absolutely a thing. 😂

Another great Thursday meeting with our BNI Business Leadership Network crew! ❤️

First, can we give a BIG shoutout to Mrs. Ella Jefferson-Speed, our official VISITOR QUEEN! 👑

Ella has invited ALL the visitors and officially earned her BNI Master Connector status! She clearly understood the assignment: invite people, make connections, and help grow the room. Way to go, Ella!!

And speaking of growth…our chapter has been BUSY.

So far this leadership year, we’ve:

Another great Thursday with our BNI crew!

First up, we officially welcomed our newest member, Jordan Carrillo with Adon Media Management! We’re excited to have Jordan join the chapter and can’t wait to see the connections and relationships he builds with the group.

Then it was Andrew Gasper with Palladium Roofing’s turn to take the spotlight as our Featured Presenter. Andrew taught us all about FORTIFIED roofs, what makes them different from a standard roof, and how the added protection can help Oklahoma homeowners when Mother Nature decides to do what she does best around here. 🌪️⛈️

And, of course, we celebrated our Notable Networkers who continue to show up, make connections, pass referrals and help our chapter grow.

Another great Thursday morning at BNI Northwest OKC! ☕🤝

One of my favorite things about BNI is that every week you walk away learning something you didn't know before.

This week, Brant Kirk with First Command Financial Services gave a powerful presentation about being financially prepared for the unexpected. While no one likes to think about losing a loved one, having a financial plan in place can make an incredibly difficult time just a little easier for the family left behind. It was a great reminder that planning today can protect the people you love tomorrow.

We also heard from Bre'Shawna Chambers with Prosperous Financial Solutions, who shared valuable insight into taxes, tax strategies, and why having the right tax professional in your corner can make all the difference. Tax season is stressful enough, you shouldn't have to navigate it alone! Plus she had us catered for breakfast.. You never want to miss a presentation by Bre'Shawna!

We also recognized this week's notable networkers for continuing to live out the Givers Gain® philosophy and helping make our chapter stronger.

Somehow, we've become the proud owners of a mysterious jacket and cup.

Were they left behind by a member of our team? A visitor? A wandering Sandler Training attendee? A highly organized criminal mastermind? We simply don't know.

What we do know is that they're currently being held hostage by our BNI Leadership Network membership committee, 😎

If you're missing:

Another great morning at BNI Business Leadership Network ☕🎉

This week's featured presentation came from Geoffrey Ludt of Ludt Payroll, who shared valuable insight into the risks of misclassifying workers as 1099 contractors. What may seem like a simple payroll decision can quickly turn into tax issues, penalties, and compliance headaches for business owners. A timely reminder that doing payroll right matters.

We also heard from Greg Mitchell of Babbitt, Mitchell & Ogle Attorneys and Counselors at Law, who discussed why it's important to speak with an attorney after an accident—regardless of how minor it may seem. Small details today can become major issues later, and having the right legal guidance early can make all the difference.

Of course, we also celebrated our weekly notable networkers:

🏆 Zach Hines with Flooring International led the chapter in referrals given, continuing to connect great people with great businesses.

💰 Adam Turbeville came back from paternity leave and immediately reported $18,747 in closed business. Talk about hitting the ground running!

👥 Ella Jefferson-Speed continues to be one of our chapter's biggest advocates, bringing visitors through the door and helping our network grow.

📚 Ryan Miller and Nicole Hughes led the chapter in CEUs, proving that continuous learning is still one of the best investments you can make in your business.

🚽 And this week's Golden Plunger Award goes to Aaron Phillips, who landed in multiple notable networker categories and continues to show up in all the right ways.
