AI can help you create something on a screen. But there’s something different about making something real.

The satisfaction of turning an idea into an object you can hold. The pride of building something with your own hands. The excitement of seeing what happens when creativity meets the right tools.

At MCC’s Prototype Design Lab, you can bring ideas to life using 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, a plasma cutter and more.

Build a prototype for your business. Create something for your home. Explore an idea you’ve had for years. Or just make something cool because you can.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, artist, inventor, engineer or curious creator, the Prototype Design Lab is open to the public, with technicians available to help.

Your idea. Your hands. Your next creation.

Access to education can open doors — and help build the workforce our communities need.

Through the Rod’s Auto Tech Team Scholarship, $143,358 in support is available this academic year for 22 new and returning MCC students pursuing automotive technology careers.

For students like Yahir Calderas Corona, that support helps remove financial barriers, making it possible to travel to class, continue his education and work toward a better future for his family.

When we invest in students, we create opportunities for individuals to succeed while helping employers meet the demand for skilled technicians.

That’s workforce development in action: connecting people to opportunity and building a stronger workforce for Nebraska.

A business idea can get you started. The right support can help you take it further.

Kalisha King, owner of Kay Creates, came to MCC FastTrac with experience, a business and a plan. Through the 10-week program, she refined her ideas, strengthened her business plan and learned alongside other entrepreneurs.

She went on to win first place in the FastTrac Pitch Competition and $1,000 in seed funding — and she's now using that investment to help grow her business.
