Your on campus food pantry and clothing exchange! The Black Bear Exchange (BBE) is open to students, faculty and staff of UMaine. Clothing is free to anyone.

Students having financial struggles can come get 10 items of food each week. FOOD PANTRY: The food pantry is open to students and their immediate families as well as staff and faculty. There is no income requirement and no application process. Just present a valid MaineCard. Our focus is supporting those who are not able to obtain assistance from other community sources. CLOTHING EXCHANGE: The

Clothing Exchange is open to anyone and everyone!!!! People are encouraged to bring gently worn items to exchange/swap or small donations can be made instead (but are not required). Any money received goes to buy food for the food pantry. Our goal with this sustainable project is to reduce stigma surrounding food pantries and thrift stores while providing support to the community. Mailing Address:

We just got a donation of milk and are making it available free! Each person may take up to 10 cartons (8 oz ea), and they will not count toward your 10 max items. Available starting today 6/11/2026 until they are gone!

Target is voluntarily recalling Up & Up Fragrance Free and Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes following customer complaints of product discoloration, and FDA testing that identified the presence of Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli in product samples.

The recalled wipes were manufactured by a supplier, and sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com.

Out of abundance of caution, Target is recalling the following products:
· Up & Up Fragrance Free Baby Wipes
o 20 Count: UPC 085239265956
o 72 Count: UPC 085239265949
o 216 Count: UPC 085239265963
o 800 Count: UPC 085239266137
o 1200 Count: UPC 085239266090

· Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes
o 72 Count: UPC 085239265970
o 216 Count: UPC 085239265994
o 800 Count: UPC 085239265987

· The Up & Up Fragrance Free Baby Wipes are packaged in plastic pouches with each pouch containing 20, 72, or 100 wipes. The wipes were sold individually in 20 and 72 count pouches, a bundle of three 72 count pouches (216 wipes) and 100 count pouches packaged in 800 count and 1200 count boxes.
o Fragrance Free Baby Wipes with a manufacturing date code of November 07, 2025 (071125X/XX) to May 5, 2026 (050526X/###) and expiration dates between May 10, 2028 (100528) through November 5, 2028 (051128)

· The Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes are packaged in plastic pouches with each pouch containing 72 or 100 wipes. The wipes were sold individually in 72 count pouches, a bundle of three 72 count pouches (216 wipes) and 100 count pouches packaged in 800 count boxes.
o Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes with a manufacturing code of December 29, 2025 (291225X/XX) to December 30, 2025 (301225X/XX) and expiration dates between June 29, 2028 (290628) through June 30, 2028 (300628).

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to any Target store for a full refund. Consumers can contact Target Guest Relations at 1-800-440-0680 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT daily for more information.

Finally! We are almost done with the Clean Sweep program, and the BBE will re-open next week. For next week only we will be here Wednesday and Friday. After that regular hours will be Wednesday and Thursday (both noon to 4:00 pm), and every other Saturday 9-12. REMEMBER, current students MUST be registered for either summer or fall classes to be eligible. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please double check your account before you come over. New students will be eligible on their first day of classes. Happy Summer!!

This is why the BBE is closed for the rest of the month of May. The Clean Sweep sale is scheduled for Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23. We will have lots of great stuff available at very low prices. We will also get lots of new clothes and shoes for the BBE for next fall.
